A Narrative Review of the Government Wheelchair Provision System in India

Background and aim: India has had a wheelchair-delivery system in place for several years but its impact on users is inadequate. Therefore, this research reviews the to examine how right personal mobility can be served better. Method: paper undertakes narrative review of existing government-aided wheelchair provision from perspectives legislation implementing agencies, both governmental non-governmental, through document key informant interviews. Results: results indicate that all steps government-funded are executed by same system. Manufacture supply take nationally, services largely absent. Moreover, access devices not upheld users. Conclusion: established inadequate terms coverage, design, production, supply, services. there need reconsider increasing coverage creating partnerships between government, non-governmental private agencies improve access.
